Why should you get to know eveningshadows?
I play hard and work hard, have two adorable 'grown up' girls of whom I am incredibly proud and who are great fun to be with...but who are getting ready to fly the nest and so here I am!
I think (and hope) that I am independent, intelligent, loving and fiercely loyal to the right person, can cook, and enjoy a glass of wine with a meal and some banter. Have eclectic tastes - won't say no to a challenge, within reason, and don't mind being taken out of my comfort zone - occasionally! I can't sew or knit and am a reluctant user of the gym. In years gone by I slept under the stars, built a bamboo hut on a beach, hitched through Europe and acquired D of E gold (not sure whether that’s a good thing to advertise or not?!). I enjoy a lot of sport from the side lines but always appreciate someone to be on hand to explain the rules when I have failed to grasp them! I am prepared to try everything that I have never tried before (except eating tripe) and love a variety of music – having been to a host of concerts in earlier years but fewer in the latter! In addition I can’t stand unfairness, prejudice and injustice, and have great respect for those that have the courage to stand up and be counted.
Life has shown me success and failure ; it has never quite been straightforward - so I am always learning, and have come to understand the importance of good health, happiness and the value of family and friendship.
