Why should you get to know thenewsusieq?

I'm long, lithe, leggy, super-slim, sassy, solvent and mostly sorted - except for alliteration dependency, for which I should probably be in therapy.

I love: life; proper travel; rescuing faded buildings; gardening; good scoff, wine and beer; opera & art & modern literature; Brixton academy; gigs, fringe theatre, movies, comedy and dance; dance floor-foolery; hiking & snorkelling; Greece, Suffolk, London (and most of the world except France and America...)

I have no kids, but 6 god children & 1 VIP cat. My photos suggest that life is all beaches & beer & a wardrobe of chocolate brown bikinis -and that I never take my sunglasses off. The latter is almost entirely true! I work in fashion & property & travel a lot, so am usually a)in the sun b) in Selfridges c) coping with a hangover or d) coping with builders bottoms - and often a combination! The rest isn't true at all. I have no allegiance to any one colour and no-one takes photos when it's wet & grey, they take them when chillin at the beach.

But it ain't all beaches! As well as frequent visits to Greece I've recently travelled through bits of Tanzania no-one's ever heard of, RSA ditto; sailed around Pemba and Zanzibar; spent time in Bilbao, Rioja and San Sebastian & a month in remotest Indonesia (I don't mean Bali..) & driven from London to Greece & back topless (that's the car...)with penelope pitstops in Austria, Venice & France en route..

I also love self-drive safari, temple-tramping, liveaboards on remote seas, museums, galleries, cities, living in hotels - from simple jungle lodges to Amanresorts - & making things happen when without speaking an obscure dialect of an obscure language it simply shouldn't be possible. My current cache of BA tickets includes Joburg (I wanna go to Lesotho) & Buenos Aires (Uraguay & Argentina)..

I'm recently separated, so as well as maybe meeting Mr Man, it would also be great to meet new pals to run around & do stuff with. Won't deny that old rascal Mr Chemistry if he should come knocking though! Well, who would?

For the long term as opposed to mates, it would be lovely if it was someone both free and in control of his own empire (little or large!), as my lifestyle means I am free to travel alotalot and it would be fab to be able to do so with a new partner.

A quiet btw: as a backdrop to all the fun, I should be able to regard your self-sufficiency, reliability and trustworthiness as an absolute given. Needless to say, I offer the same. Flakes, Walter Mittys, fly by nights & other wastes of time need not apply.
